Since finishing my MA in Traditions of Yoga an Meditation at SOAS University of London in 2021, I have been teaching at Yoga teacher trainings taking care of the History and Philosophy of Yoga Modules. I have also been offering my services both as a consultant and as a mentor for yoga teachers and yoga studios.
Consultant. I can help you write or edit your Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) Manual of History and Philosophy of Yoga to include up to date research relevant to current modern practices and to different lineages. Yoga research has been flourishing in the world of Academia, but only a little is available with a non-academic language and accessible to yoga teachers. I can help you create new content or edit your existent material in order to provide accurate information for your students. This will help them to understand in a better way the complex History and Philosophy of Yoga, to make connections and identify the most important aspects of yoga that are transferable to a yoga class; from the Vedas to our western yoga studios, from the origins of meditation to the concepts of cultural appropriation and #metoo.
Mentor. I offer one to one sessions to discuss the different aspects of history and yoga philosophy. You may be a Yoga Teacher Trainer that has some doubts about some of the ancient texts such as the Upanishads, the Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali, or the Bhagavad Gita; or perhaps doubts about where some practices come from. I will be happy to help you clarify your doubts, establish connections and identify which aspects are relevant for your own teaching.
Every session I provide is preceded by hours of refreshing knowledge, investigation and planning. I am proud of having a big collection of some of the best books on yoga, academic and non-academic.
